At the core of all humanity is the need for secure, healthy attachment to others. That's what's built into our survival mechanisms.

Humans are hardwired for CONNECTION.

Because of this, all humans have the need for love.

Society re-programs us when we're young to believe all sorts of things about ourselves and others, most of which are not based in fact and science.

There's a lot of info flying around the internet these days that will try to convince you it's based in data and truth, when it's simply bias wrapped into an attractive package. Don't be fooled.

Men, just like all humans, need love, emotional connection, and to allow their full humanity to not be extinguished.

Healthy human connection grounds us, reassures us, and helps us feel safer and more secure. It lowers our stress levels, decreases overwhelm, and gives us hope.

The more healthy connection and community we have around us, the easier life becomes, regardless of the circumstances in the world.

As we learn to trust ourselves - and improve our relationship with our self - we can better balance boundaries with human interaction.

It's possible to have empathy, and boundaries, at the same time. It's possible to support others, and protect yourself.
It's possible to engage in caring for others, without completely losing ourselves in the process.

It takes practice to learn how to have healthy boundaries and remain open to others without getting too drained.

Listening to LOVE means having healthy boundaries for you and empathy for yourself and others.

It takes commitment. It takes honoring our values. It takes listening and responding to our needs. It takes choosing love, over fear.

Human connection sustains us like nothing else can - as long as it's healthy, meaningful, and reciprocally caring.

It doesn't take much:

- a small laugh with a stranger about the ridiculous weather while waiting for your coffee

- asking about a colleagues kids' or aging parents, or their hobbies and plans for the weekend

- finding out that you have similar movie or book interests as someone you only know professionally

- giving a genuine, kind-hearted compliment to someone in passing

- texting a friend to let them know you miss them or how much they mean to you.

Loneliness and disconnection looks different from human to human, but we all experience it.

Meaningful human connection almost always looks the same in humans - an authentic smile, relaxing the shoulders, and feeling grounded.

Which internal voice are you listening to lately... Fear or Love? That 'little voice' inside our minds is extremely powerful.

Over time, this internal voice becomes the internal voice of our self-worth and self-confidence, and for better or worse, we believe what it says.

Speaking to yourself in a more kind, compassionate way takes practice if you’re not used to it. But we hope you choose LOVE.
