The Pershing Health System Christmas Tree Decorating Contest was in full swing this year, and the Administration team’s Elf on the Shelf–themed tree quickly became an interactive holiday hit.

What started as simple décor soon turned into a mystery when one of the elves went rogue and checked himself into the hospital as an unidentified patient. Once word spread, the mischievous elf was found and returned to the Administration hallway — but not before making several daring escapes throughout the building.

Today, the situation officially escalated, and local law enforcement was called in to help apprehend the sneaky elf. He was successfully returned to his post and received a well-deserved scolding from the Sheriff, bringing this holiday caper to a festive (and humorous) close.

A little Christmas mischief made the season even brighter at PHS! 🎄✨
