Applications are now open for the Academy’s Community Advisory Group (CAG). The CAG is a diverse collective of non-providers who are dedicated to ensuring the educational services and programs developed by the Academy effectively serve HIV health care professionals. The CAG will provide strategic guidance on the development of Academy webinars, workshops and web-based programs, including updates to the Fundamentals of HIV Medicine content, to ensure providers have the tools to achieve excellence in HIV care and prevention. Do you know someone who might be a good fit? Encourage them to apply today!

Made up of non-health care providers, the CAG includes individuals who have or are impacted by HIV and who are knowledgeable about topics that involve or affect the community at large. The Academy is committed to ensuring CAG members represent the depth and breadth of communities in the U.S., including all genders (inclusive of non-binary), LGBTQ+ and straight people, and members from each of the ethnic/racial groups prioritized in the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative.

Share the application with your patients and networks and help us ensure the Academy’s offerings are developed in consultation with the voice of our communities. If you or someone you know would like to serve on the Academy Community Advisory Group, please submit the application by December 1, 2025.

Faebris Medical and Heather Ivy Society express our sincerest condolences to the family of Mark Holland. Mark, like so many unsung others like him, was pivotal in ensuring that our patients maintained access to antiretroviral medicines. Mark with his partner, Chassie James, always kept our office supplied with Dovato, and our group meetings supported with catered food and anything else needed. He continued to call on our office when he barely had the stamina to walk in and back to his car. He would need to rest for more than an hour in the parking lot before he could drive himself home. He did this, especially, in the final weeks of his time at ViiV to ensure that persons whose insurance coverage was suddenly cut could be bridged with medications without interruption. So Mark, you are more than missed. We thank you for serving our Atlanta community well.

Oh no. I just heard the news today. Mark Holland was so dear to us at Faebris. I had reached out recently , but his mailbox was full. This breaks my heart.
