The University of Mississippi is launching a four-week summer residential program in 2026 for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. READY, an inclusive higher education program, will give participants a college experience, while they learn greater independence and enjoy inclusion.

Friends!

Lace up your sneakers (or wheels!) and join us on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, for the first Annual iCARE Foundation Turkey Trot Walk, Run & Roll— a community event where every step makes a difference!

This year’s Turkey Trot includes:

🏃‍♂️ 5K Walk, Run & Roll – open to all, with wheelchair participants encouraged
👟 Kids’ ½-Mile Fun Run – Ages 12 and below, perfect for our youngest trotters
🏅 Walk of Champions – celebrating and cheering on our special needs friends as they cross the finish line

Every participant will receive a Turkey Trot T-shirt, and medals will be awarded to all. Most importantly, your participation supports a meaningful cause: funding a handicap-accessible, adaptive, and inclusive playground for our entire community.

✨ Together, we can build a space where children of all abilities can play, laugh, and grow side by side.

At Blue Sky, many of our clients communicate using alternative and augmentative methods; some of the high tech AAC programs can be expensive, but are currently on sale!

Our goal is support and honor communicate in any method that meets a child's needs, and we are grateful for all providers that help support AAC integration into children's lives.
