I'm dealing with the horrible problem right now which is unique to our County ..Finding a vet for Emergency Medical Services locally is absolutely not available! I've had the same vet for 7 years I'm a loyal customer who pays her bill in full when leaving my appointment. the meds the Vet prescribed for my animal are having toxic effects and said VET refuses to see my animal for 2 weeks??? of course I took her to Medford, but why should I have to do that to the tune of $400 and a days lost wages when I Have a vet here??? We have a fantastic Adoption Center at South Coast so many people go home with a new friend but what they fail to tell you is, NO VET in Curry County is taking on new patients, if there's a medical emergency with that animal or even just general maintanence, you're going to have to drive to Medford, Eureka or Coquille.. I suggest people keep that in mind when adopting an animal and not having a PRIOR relationship with a vet around here....When your animal needs EMERGENCY CARE and you have to drive 2- 3 hours to get help..Its exasperating!
