I recently moved to Oregon from Vermont, because I love the ocean, mountains, and wilderness, and Oregon's bounty is spectacular. Oregon feeds my spirit and I would like to help my fellow Oregonians find physical comfort and peace of mind. Hypnosis can contribute to both. I am also offering my services at a reduced fee to those who might have difficulty paying regular professional fees. Having found a quiet, secluded house, with a beautiful office, I am ready again to resume practice. I was licensed as a clinical psychologist in Kansas City, Missouri, where i practiced for 27 years. I also taught at the college and university levels at institutions such as Vassar College, the University of Maryland, Heidelberg, Germany, the graduate school at the University of Missouri, and other colleges. In Brookings, I will be practicing as a hypnotherapist and life coach from my comfortable and private home office, I have extensive background and training as a hypnotherapist both through the International Society of Clinical Hypnosis, through Meningers Institute in Kansas, and as a student of two years with Dr. Eric Wright, while he was head of the Psychology Department at the University of Kansas. I received my Ph.D., specializing in Counseling and Biofeedback, a Master's Degree from Tufts University in Clinical Psychology and Sociology, and a Batchelor of Arts from Syracuse University in premedical sciences and psychology. I have written and published 12 academic papers, hosted a public radio talk show for two years, make jewelry, write fiction and nonfiction, paint, and enjoy my toy poodle Gilly.
