What if your low back pain isn’t coming from your lower back? 🤔

Research shows that hamstring strength and hip mobility play a big role in managing low back pain. Weakness or restriction in these areas can place extra stress on your spine.

Effective care goes beyond the low back. Combining spinal adjustments, postural strengthening, and hip/hamstring care can be key for long-term relief. ✨

A whole-body approach can make a real difference. Visit our website to book an appointment today! 📞

Struggling with shoulder pain?

Not all exercises are created equal. New research suggests that targeted exercise programs are more effective in alleviating rotator cuff–related shoulder pain than generic exercise routines.

The key? Proper evaluation. Knowing exactly what your shoulder needs allows for exercises that are precise, effective, and supportive of recovery. 💪

If shoulder pain persists, proper guidance can make all the difference. Watch this video to learn more about what we can do to help! 🎥 https://youtu.be/ktLPQJ0SHoE

Purchasing supplements from Amazon can be convenient — but there are real risks. 💥

1️⃣ Third-Party Sellers + Supply Chain Issues

Even when a product appears to be from a reputable brand, it may be sold by a third-party reseller, ❌not the manufacturer.❌

Risks include:
❌Improper storage (heat damages probiotics, omega-3s, peptides, enzymes)
❌Expired or near-expiration inventory
❌Tampered packaging
❌Counterfeit products

Amazon’s “commingled inventory” system can mix products from multiple sellers under one listing. That means even if you select a “trusted” seller, you may not receive their specific stock!!!!!

2️⃣ Counterfeit Supplements

❌Counterfeiting is a major issue in the supplement industry.
❌A 2023 investigation found counterfeit versions of popular supplements being sold under legitimate listings. Some products:
🛑Contained no active ingredients
🛑Contained incorrect dosages
🛑Included undisclosed fillers or contaminants

For supplements affecting:
➡️Hormones
➡️Immune function
➡️Neurotransmitters
➡️Inflammation markers (CRP, IL-6, TNF-α)

3️⃣ Temperature-Sensitive Products

❌❌Amazon warehouses are not climate-controlled specifically for supplement stability.❌❌

Heat-sensitive products at risk:

➡️Probiotics
➡️Fish oil (oxidation risk)
➡️Collagen peptides
➡️Liposomal glutathione
➡️Hormone-support formulas

Oxidized fish oil, for example, can increase oxidative stress rather than reduce it — the opposite of what you want in patients with inflammatory load.

4️⃣ No Professional Oversight

When patients self-order:

➡️They often choose based on price
➡️They don’t verify form (magnesium oxide vs glycinate)
➡️They may unknowingly duplicate ingredients
➡️They may purchase poor bioavailable forms

Micronutrient quality affects:

🌟Synovial fluid production (hello, healthy mobile joints!)
🌟Connective tissue repair
🌟Vagal tone
🌟Mitochondrial resilience (heyyyy energy and recovery)

Low-quality supplements = unpredictable physiology.

5️⃣ Testing + Certification Concerns

Reputable brands often use:
NSF certification
cGMP manufacturing
Third-party purity testing

But on Amazon, listings don’t always verify:

Batch-specific testing
Heavy metal screening
Allergen cross-contamination

And sometimes counterfeit products display fake certification logos.

6️⃣ Return Fraud + Re-Sealing
There have been reports of:

🛑Opened supplements being returned
🛑Bottles resealed and resold
🛑Capsules replaced

7️⃣ Clinical Outcome Variability

If you're working with:
➡️Menopausal connective tissue decline
➡️Mast cell activation
➡️ADHD neuroinflammation
➡️Histamine intolerance
➡️Autoimmune markers

🌟🌟🌟Consistency matters.🌟🌟🌟🌟

Why Many Practitioners Avoid Amazon:

Healthcare providers often prefer:
🌟Direct-to-practitioner companies
🌟Dispensary platforms (Fullscript, Wellevate, etc.)
🌟Direct manufacturer ordering

Because:
🌟Supply chain is controlled
🌟Storage standards are verified
🌟Batch tracking is available
🌟Clinical support is provided

Amazon prioritizes speed and scale — not supplement integrity.

Ever notice your head drifting forward the longer you sit… followed by neck pain? 💻😣

A recent study found that individuals who let their heads drift forward while sitting also reported more neck pain. Their neck muscles were working harder to hold up the head, which can lead to strain over time. 💪

The takeaway: posture isn’t just about looks. It demonstrates how your muscles respond to prolonged sitting and can impact the way your neck feels.

If neck pain shows up during desk work or screen time, assessing posture, muscle balance, and endurance can help guide effective care and prevention.

Persistent jaw pain might not be a jaw problem at all… 😬

A new study found that neck adjustments and targeted exercises can significantly reduce jaw pain and muscle sensitivity even when the jaw itself wasn’t treated!

The takeaway: your jaw and neck work together. 💡

Does your ankle still feel wobbly after a sprain? 🦶

Chronic ankle instability can occur even after the initial injury appears to have healed. A recent study found that the muscles which help stabilize the ankle were smaller, less active, and of lower quality in individuals with chronic ankle instability.

If your ankle has never fully recovered, targeted assessment and care can help restore stability and confidence in every step you take. Call our office and schedule an appointment today! 👣✨

Opioids are still commonly prescribed for back and neck pain, but are they always necessary? 💊❌

A review of over 6 million adults with spine pain found that people who received chiropractic care were 64% less likely to need prescription opioids, and starting care within the first 30 days showed the most significant reduction.

The takeaway: Early chiropractic care can help manage pain and improve function without relying on drugs. 💪
