I had the pleasure of giving a talk at the annual “Scary Cases” conference held by Boston University Department of Otolaryngology (ENT). There were over 100+ attendees at the meeting. This was a full circle moment for me as I went to BU School of Medicine and my interest in ENT and facial plastic surgery was fostered by the clinical faculty in the department. It was really nice to see previous mentors and medical school friends and I gave a case presentation on full facial rejuvenation including deep plane facelift and neck lift!

Sue is turning 75 next month - she’s only 2 weeks (!) after her surgery with me. Sue had a SMAS facelift a little over a year ago with another surgeon and she wasn’t thrilled with her results. We consulted and decided to pursue a deep plane facelift and neck lift, lateral brow lift and fat grafting. She’s over the moon happy and take a listen about her recovery and how she now loves how she looks and how her external appearance matches her internal energy.

You all know I love deep plane facelift and neck lift surgery. One of the many reasons I love it is that there is barely any tension on the skin. This means the incisions heal with no scar and are virtually undetectable! This also means the ears won’t get pulled down or have pixie ears issues like with more antiquated facelift techniques.
