🪷 The lotus flower rises from the mud, nourished by the elements, until it blooms, steady and radiant. Like the lotus, each of us draws strength from the four elements to reach our fullest potential.

🍂 This fall, join Brittney Burgess for The Path of the Lotus: Earth Flow, the first workshop in a 4-part seasonal series, exploring the transformative power of the elements, which provides us an opportunity to harmonize with the seasons. In this session, you’ll awaken the element of Earth — cultivating steadiness, inner calm, and a sense of rootedness in both mind and body 🌏

The two-hour workshop will gently guide you through an Earth-centered meditation, reflective journaling, and a grounding asana practice in a lightly heated room designed to activate your Muladhara (Root Chakra) 🧘

Two months in the heart of Central Square and we’re loving the energy, Cambridge 🌈 🌤️ Our newest studio is woven into a community defined by creativity, curiosity, and cultural energy — from vibrant murals to global eats to steady T-stop beats, this neighborhood pulses with life and now so does our new home at 585 Mass Ave 🦋

🧘‍♀️💕 Thank you to everyone who has stepped onto the mat with us and is helping to shape this space into a sanctuary for thoughtful movement and connection. Here’s to many more classes and connections. See you on the mat!

Special shoutout out to local Boston mural artist Devin Walker who’s luminous murals (📸 in the first slide behind Allyn Cox) adds vibrancy to Graffiti Alley in Central Square and across the city 🏙️

Get to know the Reformer ⚙️💫 Pilates instructor Jessica Simonetti breaks down the anatomy of the Pilates Reformer, focusing here on the “moving mat,” known as the carriage.

As Jessica explains, the tension in the springs is where the magic happens. Each spring has a different resistance, and the spring tension can be set to create the desired level of challenge in each exercise

💪 Fun fact: setting a spring for lower resistance can actually make exercises harder because light springs provide less support — meaning the stability has to come from your own body!

Want to get to know the Reformer first hand? Curious about Reformer Pilates and its benefits for strength, focus, and posture? 🌟 We’re offering 20% off Reformer Pilates sessions through the month of November 📲 Book yours today at link in bio ☝️

“The more you do yoga, the deeper you can go” 🔮 Swipe to learn from Beloved Boston teacher Maybelle Rowntree, who shares her wisdom about the timeless essence of yoga, and reminds us that no matter how long you’ve been practicing, there is always more to discover.

Maybelle identifies four elements at the heart of yoga:

1️⃣ Uddiyana Bandha: The abdominal “lock” active in yoga poses to direct energy upward
2️⃣ Ujjayi breathing: “Victorious breath” to build heat and promote focus
3️⃣ Vinyasa: The practice of flowing from one posture to the next with intention
4️⃣ Hatha: The practice of coming into and holding postures to balance opposing energies

Even as the practice of yoga changes and evolves, there is value in coming back to the fundamentals that make yoga yoga: breathing intentionally and moving our bodies into and through postures designed to harness and direct prana, our life force energy 🌀

✨ In class with Ivy, you can expect an approach rooted in Joseph Pilates’ original Contrology method and layered with modern strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility — all in a space where every body feels supported, seen, and celebrated.
