Experience
I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training through the New School of Yogic Arts, under Laura Ahrens, Andrew Tanner and Tatyana Souza of Coolidge Corner Yoga. I am a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance, and I have been a practitioner of Vinyasa yoga for ten years. Classes are structured to deliver a moving meditation, giving students an opportunity to focus within. I have a cla
ssical ballet background, and I incorporate fluid, graceful movement into my sequences. Ujjayi breathing is taught to warm and oxygenate the body. Precise alignment cues are offered to promote a balance of physical effort and graceful expression. Asanas are built from the ground up, ensuring a strong foundation. Students are then empowered to explore their own energetic state. My teaching is reflective of a deep connection I feel to the energetic flow surrounding us and propelling us forward. My goal is for students to experience the very definition of yoga; union of individual with absolute. Strip our collective illusion of being attached to non-essential things. Shift our perception of suffering. Yoga awakens our innate ability to tap into our inner light and be content. About Me
I received my M.B.A from NYU Stern School of Business in 2012, and a M.A./B.A. in International Economics from Brandeis University in 2002. For years, I worked in a fast paced corporate environment as a marketer. After my daughter was born, I realized that I wanted to change my path. It took a full year to untangle the web of my previous identity. Once I was free, everything came into focus and I became present. Carry the light and don’t apologize.
