It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news that our medical assistant and friend, Nancy, passed away at home on Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer. 💔

Nancy has been a cherished member of our team since 2018 and a familiar, comforting presence to so many of our patients and staff alike. Her kindness, warmth, and dedication to caring for others made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

We are profoundly grateful for the years we were able to work alongside Nancy and for the care she so compassionately provided to our community. Her work was her happy place and she will be deeply missed.

Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones during this difficult time💜

Yesterday marked Dr. Baker’s last shift on Labor & Delivery and her retirement from obstetrics after nearly 28 remarkable years at Beth Israel Hospital, during which she delivered thousands of babies and cared for generations of families.

Although she’s excited to say goodbye to 24-hour calls, this was a bittersweet decision for her, and she will deeply miss being part of pregnancy care and delivery. She has done so much during for the department and will be greatly missed by the entire L&D team.

Dr. Baker remains an integral part of Boston OB/GYN. As a founding member, she played a pivotal role in building the practice and establishing the compassionate, patient-centered care our community knows today. We are honored that she will continue providing gynecologic care to our patients.
