UDS is an accredited mobile diagnostic testing company, and all of our healthcare practitioners are board-certified. We are established experts in delivering healthcare to a wide spectrum of public safety agencies. Whether you have 25 or 2500 personnel UDS can customize our services to provide screenings that have been proven to save lives by early detection. UDS averages 90,000 patient interactions annually and we are experienced in coordinating large healthcare screening events. UDS screenings are dedicated to the early detection of cancer and cardiovascular diseases that when caught early can be resolved with medical follow up and proactive measures. In fact, this past year UDS has screened several thousand fire fighters across the nation with incredible results (see our aggregate date here). We are proud of the positive feedback we have received as quite a few firefighters were grateful for the early screening that they credit for saving these “lifesavers” lives. These tests include an Echocardiogram, Carotid, Abdominal Aorta, Thyroid, Liver, Spleen, Bladder, Kidney, and Testicular. The screenings can also consist of an Exterior Pelvic scan for females. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly here on FaceBook or call 646-854-3299 for more information on services and how we can best serve you and your personnel to proactively assist in improving their health.

Spokane District 9 Firefighters Update | NFPA 1582 → 1580 Transition in Action

With the transition from NFPA 1582 to NFPA 1580 emphasizing annual testing, age-adjusted fitness standards, and comprehensive health coverage, departments are rethinking how occupational health and early detection integrate.

We recently completed a program in Spokane in collaboration with PHS, delivering physician-led NFPA 1580 physicals aligned with the updated framework.

In addition to required evaluations, the program included:

• Full-Body Ultrasound
• Professional interpretations from a fully accredited company
• Telemedicine consultation for follow-up
• Hospital-grade diagnostic calibration through the UDS/PHS collaboration

Compliance matters. But combining compliance with true early detection is what protects careers — and lives.

The 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗙𝗙𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 is officially underway! 📍🔥

We have arrived in Lafayette at the DoubleTree by Hilton for three days of connection, education, and fraternal bonding.

Our CEO, 𝗥𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻, is on the ground and ready to meet the 250+ professional firefighters attending this year’s event. We’re excited to dive into seminars on critical health and safety issues to better serve those who serve Louisiana.

Stop by and say hello to Ray to learn how UDS Health is "Saving Lives Through Prevention". Let’s make this a great conference!

At United Diagnostic Services (UDS), we know that a firefighter’s greatest battle isn't always against fire—it’s against the hidden risks of occupational cancer. We are proud to serve as the program administrator for the State of New Hampshire’s Firefighter Cancer Screening Pilot Program.

As we prepare to open appointments scheduling on March 1, we are releasing an augmented look at the screening process to show you exactly what to expect. Early detection is the strongest shield we have.

This 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵, we’re sharing 𝗞𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗺𝗮’𝘀 story to show that even the fittest among us aren’t invincible. Kyle is a firefighter and a high-level athlete who had zero symptoms. He thought a workplace wellness screening would just provide a "good baseline." Instead, it revealed a life-threatening ascending aortic aneurysm caused by a congenital bicuspid valve he never knew he had.

Within days, Kyle was pulled from the job he loves and the sports he excels in to prepare for open-heart surgery.

"Finding out now is a lot better than waiting for an emergency situation," Kyle says. "Early detection matters. Getting checked matters."

Kyle’s new "endurance feat" is his recovery. Let his journey be a reminder this February: Don't rely on how you feel—rely on the data. Take advantage of preventative screenings. It could be the difference between a planned surgery and a fatal emergency.

A landmark victory for Texas Firefighters! 🛡️🇨🇱

Starting 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗪𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗛𝗕 𝟭𝟵𝟴) officially mandates that cities and municipalities provide cancer screenings at no cost to firefighters beginning their sixth year of service. Named after a North Texas hero who lost his battle with cancer at just 33, this law recognizes a hard truth: occupational exposure is a silent threat that requires proactive action.

At UDS, we’ve always believed that early detection is the only effective weapon against occupational cancer. This law removes the financial barrier, ensuring that the men and women who protect our communities are themselves protected.

The details:
✅ 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 after 5 years of service.
✅ 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 to the firefighter.
✅ 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to save lives and reduce long-term treatment costs.

Texas is leading the way in firefighter wellness. Is your department ready for the transition? 🚒✨

It’s not just what we face on the job—it’s what we bring home with us. From 𝗣𝗙𝗔𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗹 exhaust to the hidden risks of alcohol, we are often surrounded by carcinogens that we rarely discuss. Did you know that alcohol-related cancer deaths in the US have doubled over the past 30 years? It is linked to at least seven types of cancer, even for moderate drinkers.

At UDS, we don’t believe in normalizing these risks. We use full-body ultrasounds, blood markers, and low-dose CT scans to detect threats early.

Take the first step toward a healthier future. 🛡️ 📞 Call us today to schedule your appointment!
