Need some breakfast inspo? Here’s another go-to recipe for a quick and nourishing breakfast that I like as a nutritionist. However, just to point out: The amount of carbs in this is great for some, but if you’re managing PCOS or similar conditions that may affect your blood sugar, you can also adjust this to be less carb-heavy. The granola certainly played a factor in this for me — so next time, I would either decrease the granola to just 1/2 of what I had here or decreased to half a banana (or whatever fruit you prefer).

That’s it! Simple. Easy. Fast!

Quick question: What are you having for breakfast?

There’s a reason why breakfast is considered the “most important meal of the day” — giving yourself energy through nourishment is one of the best ways to keep up your energy (besides coffee) and help yourself feel grounded and ready to manage a stressful schedule. In winter, one of the best breakfasts for me is a bowl of hot oatmeal with my favorite nut butter and fruit for added protein, fiber, and flavor.

A smoothie is amazing for getting some key nutrients for the day without having to make things complicated or cook a time-consuming meal. However, I see clients making their smoothies super complicated or highly caloric without meaning to, so here’s my go-to combination for a perfect smoothie that tastes great and offers you important nourishment to start your day.

What’s on a nutritionist’s plate? Well, if you’re scrambling for dinner ideas, just know that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel: Roasted chicken, vegetables, and some creamy mashed potatoes can all be part of a balanced plate. Just go with this rule of thumb: 1/4 protein, 1/4 starch/grain, and 1/2 non-starchy vegetables for a full and balanced meal. This rule is good for anyone with , , issues, issues, or anyone looking to have a healthy, satisfying meal.
