Autumnal Reset: Yin, Restorative, + Immersive Sonic Experience

Tomorrow Nov 8 from 4—6pm in SoHo

REGISTER IN ADVANCE as we have limited space to ensure everyone has a plethora of props for deep rest!

Lana, Śrī, and are a magical combo!

We are between the autumn equinox and winter solstice—a time of enchantment and potent reflection. This workshop provides an opportunity to sync with nature’s rhythms, indulging in the stillness and quietude of yin and restorative. These practices recalibrate the nervous system and cultivate a sense of deep comfort and well-being in preparation for “wintering.”*

*Wintering is a term coined by Katherine May in her book Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times.

Sonic experience courtesy of Constanza Moyano from Eleven Eleven Hertz.

Constanza Moyano is a certified energy work and sound facilitator, and a designer of experiential, multi-sensory somatic immersions, sonic journeys for body and mind. Originally from Argentina, her practice is influenced by shamanic philosophy and nature-based traditions that honor rhythm, vibration, and the intelligence of the body. Through 1111 Hertz, she weaves breath-work and sound to help recalibrate your energy, release tension, and raise your vibrational frequency, meeting you where you are and guiding you toward your highest, most authentic energetic potential, where joy is met inward.

Hot off the presses:
Deep Kulification: In Person Intensive for Students of All Traditions
January 5—9, 2026 ✨ Kula SoHo

What does it mean to go deep? At Kula, it means venturing into the substrata in order to take a closer look at the foundation upon which we build our community and our classes. You may scratch the surface of these ideas in group classes, but not in a structured, formal way. So...if you are feeling the call to really dig into the bedrock of yogic studies (even if you don’t necessary feel the pull to teach...) this program is for you!

Expect a thorough kickstart to your 2026. Your favorite Kula teachers will lead you on a journey both physical and philosophical along the eightfold path. Come prepared to Kula Flow once (maybe twice?!) a day, see the human body anew through Lauren Haythe’s unique Applied Anatomy modules, be transformed from the outside in by ’s powerful teaching, and explore all things breath and bandha with .

No matter what your New Year’s resolution is—this week will support and nourish you on your journey. This program is open to dedicated students and teachers of all traditions. It’s also the launchpad for our monthlong 200 Hour Teacher Training intensive, so if you’re also on the fence about taking the 200 Hour plunge...never say never...

Price: $850 Early Bird ($1000 after 11/23)
No application necessary.

Join Sundays from 5—6pm in SoHo!

⭐️✨⭐️⚡️⭐️✨⭐️

Are you feeling weighed down by old patterns, emotions, or stress that no longer serve you? Do you crave a reset — a chance to let go and step into what’s new?

This class is for anyone seeking to shed what no longer serves them, reconnect with their inner strength, and open the door to transformation. No prior experience with Breathwork is needed; just bring an open mind and a willingness to explore!

In this class, participants will be guided through a dynamic two-stage Breathwork practice designed to cleanse the body, release emotional blocks, and quiet the busy mind. The session will start with intention-setting, guided Breathwork to music, followed by integration time, sharing and questions. Together, these practices create a safe and supportive space for deep release, clarity, and renewal.

The takeaway?

A lighter, clearer sense of self — and the energy and inspiration to move forward with greater ease!

YogaCityNYC + + present:

An Evening to Discuss Yoga as Action, Political Thought and Power

Monday, October 20 from 6.30—8pm
Kula in SoHo: 481 Broadway, 3rd floor (between Broome and Grand)

Join us at Kula Yoga Project in Soho for an insightful event exploring the intersection of yoga and politics. Did you know that yoga is not simply a path to stillness and self-realization? For centuries it has also been written about as a political tactic and as a strategy to attain and keep power.

Join Professors Sunila S. Kalé and Christian Lee Novetzke to discuss “Six Things About Yoga That You May Not Know,” highlights from their recent book “The Yoga of Power: Yoga as Political Thought and Practice in India.” This very timely discussion will be followed by a lively Q and A.

CHURCH OF THE OPEN SKY
🌊 March 21–28, 2026 — a full week of surf, yoga, and jungle adventuring in the sublime Osa Peninsula 🌊

✨ Get this on the books before Labor Day and save $250!!

Join this most unholy trinity for a week of working hard on mat and board, lounging and feasting copiously, and unmitigated hilarity at the beachside bar. , & each bring their own particular teaching flavor to this retreat, and the combination has been called transcendental.

The Osa Peninsula has been our Kula getaway for over 20 years. This trip takes us deep into the jungle, surrounded by world-class surf. Stay at , a boutique lodge with top-notch food, stunning rooms, and a yoga deck overlooking 100 acres of private rainforest. Or choose , a luxury eco-lodge set in five acres of lush rainforest designed for wildlife sightings.

Mornings start with howler monkeys, coffee, and a sunrise surf or yoga class. Days are long enough for two tide-timed yoga sessions: one strong Kula Flow and one mellower Honey Flow or Alextravaganza.

The surf here is warm, pristine, and perfect for all levels — from the beginner-friendly Pan Dulce right outside Osa Clandestina to world-class breaks like Matapalo for seasoned surfers. Not into surfing? No problem.

If you prefer to keep your feet on land, kayak, hike, rappel waterfalls, explore jungle trails, ride horseback, or simply lounge in a hammock with a piña colada.

Get ready to pray the Kula way!

Not to be missed!
July 19 + 20 with — SUMMER SCHOOL! Deep dive into everything hands-on adjustments.

Teaching yoga for the past ~20 years has reconfirmed for me that all bodies are unique. As such, I will not teach a set of prefabricated or memorized assists. Instead, we will probe ways to co-create a dialogue with each student in your class to help them realize their own wisdom and blindspots through the art of touch. This workshop will add depth and sophistication to your teaching by practicing hands-on assists appropriate for both group and private sessions. We’ll approach assisting as a practice that goes beyond the physical through explorations of intention and deep observation. Through detailed hand-on demos, we will delve into the more technical and anatomical aspects of assists. We will also investigate how the breath, organs, and more subtle layers of our students factor into every exchange.

Let’s create community together at Kula through this intimate, vulnerable, and empowering artform.

What we will cover (NOT IN LECTURE FORM!!! This will be very hands-on and discussion-based):

—Philosophy of assists and touch
—Empowering students through touch
—How to observe and listen to (NOT READ!!!) bodies
—Anatomical and intentional alignment
—Dynamic assists
—Passive and active assists
—Professionalism and legal responsibilities

If timing or finances are an issue, please reach out to rebecca@ketchumyoga.com and we can work something out.
