Some people are naturally guided towards connection and community. Though those with relational wounds might feel that it’s easier to be independent and to not risk relying on others. ACoAs have a tendency to isolate when the going gets tough. This is why I’m putting it out there that I have a few openings coming towards the end of the year with the holidays, some increasing fears, uncerainty and stress. I have ways to help people feel more resourced and supported. I can see folks virtually in NY, NJ, CT and FL and have two in-person offices in South Orange, NJ and now Montclair, NJ. Even if a friend needs to chat or may need a referral, please don’t hesitate to reach out— I have spoken to people all across the globe.
Heather Coleman, LCSW explores the first trait of the Laundry List for ACoAs and discusses the experiences of living with and isolation alongside the hope of rediscovering support and connection.
