Lucid Love is a mystic media collective, rooted in the Brooklyn Underground, dedicated to the pursuit of World Peace through Sexual Liberation and Spiritual Enlightenment. Lucid Love is a mystic media collective ~ a band of free spirits who weave sweet dreams into the fabric of reality ~ music into air, visions into light, epiphany into poetry, truth into justice! Of course, transforming reality requires cooperation and competition, sacrifice and struggle. So, in the interest of rallying an effective force of will, let me describe how YOU can join Lucid Love in the creation of a better, brighter universe…
In order to survive and thrive, humans consume the GOODNESS of animals, trees, teachers, computers, medicine and so forth, but humans are not parasites. We can use what we consume to create GOODNESS. In exchange for the nurturing comforts of civilization, we can wash dishes, build houses, invent technology, coach kids and empathize with strangers. In exchange for the Earth’s natural splendor and atmospheric shelter, we can protect wildlife, recycle waste and develop clean renewable energy sources. In exchange for the creation of the universe and the first spark of life, we can craft beauty, make love and seek the truth. If, over the course of a lifetime, most humans create a little more GOODNESS than they consume, our world will become more vibrant, fecund and diverse with the passing of every generation. No one can solve the world’s problems singlehandedly; try to save everyone and solve everything and you’ll suffer from guilt in response to happiness and crippling depression in response to the realization of total futility... even if you're a GREAT person. Plus, sometimes people don't want your help; even if you think they need it. Most of the Hell on Earth can be attributed to self-righteous ‘saviors’ projecting psychotic (usually egocentric, static, and inflexible) visions of Utopia onto reality and then attacking anything that refuses to conform... humans playing God, men playing Ubermensch... always a bad trip. On a cosmic scale, “the abortive sorrows and short-winded elations of men” are “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”, but the limits of a lifetime do not constrain humanity as a whole. The dreams and ideals we inspire in others transcend our mortal frames in time and space. You and I may soon be dead, but our lives are links in an endless chain of cause and effect that binds the universe. By enhancing consciousness of the present moment, enlarging our spheres of personal concern and accepting the pains of being pure at heart, we can enlighten the passage of humanity as it is written in the volumes of eternity.
