Join Aki for this beautiful end of year, ceremony in Brooklyn !
As the year turns, we gather in person to honor what has passed, release what no longer serves, and step into 2026 with spaciousness to expand into our aligned expression.
This ceremony is a devotional practice of reflection, ritual, and energetic cleansing through the Curanderismo healing art of Rose Limpia, taught by Maestras Rita Navarette Perez and Antonia Gonzalez. At the heart of this year’s gathering lies the Sevenfold Blessing, drawn from the teachings shared by Mary Magdalene and fused with the medicine of the Blessings written in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I do not identify as Christian, and this is not a Christian practice—but I hold these teachings as a liberatory framework, offering insight from spiritual, feminist, and decolonial perspectives. Once distorted as the “seven deadly sins” by the Roman Church, part of a broader patriarchal and colonial structure, this teaching is reclaimed here as tools for awareness, growth, and embodiment, helping us honor every part of our human experience—joy, grief, challenge, and triumph—as blessings along our path of transmutation.
The rose is our medicine: petals that sweep the heart, thorns that remind us of resilience and necessary offerings, fragrance that calls us into deeper devotion. Blessings serve as the lubricant of the spirit, softening the grip of fear and shame, integrating our experiences, and allowing the sweetness of life to flow through body and psyche.
Together, we will:
*Engage in Rose Limpia, a ritual for clearing, grounding, and renewal.
*Explore the Sevenfold Blessing as a tool for expansive awareness, transforming the powers of ego into teachers and allies in daily life.
*Reflect on the past year, release what no longer serves, and set intentions for the year ahead.
*Create a community altar to honor the passing year and memorialize experiences.
*Engage with oracle cards for deeper reflection and psychic investigation.
*Hold space for ritual offerings, meditation, and heart-centered devotion, leaving nourished, fortified, and inspired.
