A huge Sigma shout-out and OT Month spotlight on Jennifer Bailey, C.N.A., Rehab Aide at Beth Abe Center! 🎉💙
Jennifer was first hired on 11/1/1999 as a C.N.A., and from the very beginning, her impact on the building was undeniable. From her early days on 3BR—where rehab patients were always up, ready, and eager for therapy thanks to her dedication—Jennifer consistently went above and beyond to support both residents and staff.
Her journey continued to expand as she became deeply involved in wound care rounds, where she brought an incredible level of knowledge, communication, and follow-through. She worked closely with the team to ensure patients had exactly what they needed and that appropriate referrals for therapy were made when indicated. Even when she wasn’t able to attend rounds, her communication and collaboration never stopped.
When the opportunity arose for a rehab aide position, there was only one clear choice. In October 2023, Jennifer officially joined the rehab team, with the understanding that she would continue participating in wound rounds one day per week.
Since then, Jennifer has continued to exceed every expectation. She assists therapists with patient care and daily needs, supports the department with audits and inventory, and is often the first to step in when wheelchairs need urgent repair or cleaning to ensure patient care is never delayed. She also plays a key role in orienting new and temporary rehab aides, helping them understand the flow and expectations of the department.
Her DOR describes her as someone who is always willing to help, always reliable, and truly instrumental in keeping the department running smoothly and survey-ready. Above all, she is seen as an exemplary role model whose dedication strengthens the entire team.
While she is being recognized during OT Month, Jennifer is truly interdisciplinary in every sense of the word, bridging departments, supporting teams, and always putting patient care first. 💙
