From Resident to Role Model: Helen's Journey at Hamilton Park

When Helen Reyes first arrived at Hamilton Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, she describes herself as "broken and in need of healing."

After three and a half months of dedicated work, guided by our skilled and compassionate team, Helen not only recovered — she thrived.

Through the unwavering support of our Physical Therapy Department (special thanks to Ahmed Manaa, DPT), Helen overcame fear and pain, discovering strength she never knew she had. Using innovative tools like anti-gravity treadmills, TheraBands, and the “G-force” machine, she gained mobility and confidence one step at a time.

But recovery at Hamilton Park goes far beyond the physical.

Helen found community and joy through our Recreation Department — engaging in everything from Chinese dancing to piano concerts, bingo nights, and birthday celebrations. These moments helped restore not just her health, but her spirit.

Today, Helen returns regularly — not as a patient, but as a mentor and friend to current residents. Her experience embodies what healing at The Allure Group is all about: compassion, innovation, and connection.

“It works if you work it,” Helen says — and we couldn’t agree more.
