We’re adding a little extra glow to this week’s Friday Community Session.

February 20, 6–8 pm, we’re welcoming Saint Lucie for a special in-sauna pop-up: the Ritual of Radiance - offered as part of our regular community session.

This immersive ritual unfolds through waves of aromatic steam, created with handcrafted snowballs infused with essential oils, guiding you through a layered sensory experience. The ritual also features the world’s first sauna serum, used in the heat to deeply nourish hair, skin, and mind. Think: warmth, scent, stillness, and an intentional moment of presence.

The ritual will be gently woven into the flow of the evening, so you can experience it naturally during your soak and sauna time - no separate booking needed, just join us for Community Night.

About Saint Lucie:
Raised in Midwest sauna culture, Sierra Blake is a therapist and the founder of Saint Lucie. Her work unites science, ritual, and botanicals through the world’s first sauna serum - a multi-use oil designed to nourish hair, skin, and mind in the heat.

The ritual will be guided in collaboration with Sarah Spoto, a European-trained and certified sauna master and Aufguss Master, and the founder of Badii, a Swiss-inspired thermal bathing community. Sarah also hosts the podcast “Badii Talk: Thermal Bathing & Sauna Culture,” where she explores global bathing traditions.

Tomorrow, (demain) we will be hosting our first (premier) Salon de Bain, an evening to soak in the culture and jolie de vivre of all things French. 🇫🇷🛁🍷

My love for Paris runs deep, and this is a way for me to bring a bit of Paris to Brooklyn. And to share the simple pleasures of the Parisian lifestyle that l love (j’adore).

You will be able to have your tour in French or English, enjoy some cheese (fromage) and meat (charcuterie) from a local business - - paired with a choice of wine (du vin) chat with others in French and English - steam, soak and sauna and feel a little (un petit peu) more French for the night. ✨

Now more than ever, caring for ourselves,
and each other, feels essential.

At cityWell, community hydrotherapy has always had two meanings:
First, to gather - share space, warmth, and quiet connection in our bathhouse and outdoor oasis. 🌿
Second, accessibility - making wellness part of everyday life, not just an occasional luxury.

From the very beginning, our mission has been to provide affordable, accessible care to urban wellness seekers. We wanted moments of restoration to be available to many - not just a few.

When you join our Community Hydro, you are stepping into more than a circuit of steam, soak and sauna. You are giving your body and mind a space of shared presence- where you can reset your nervous system, soften, and reconnect with yourself and others. ✨

Many of us have watched in horror as the events unfolded in Minneapolis over these past weeks. It truly has been difficult to find the words and or actions that would meet the moment, in this very devastating period in our lives and our history.

As a business owner and as a citizen, I try to find what I can do to support my community, neighbors and fellow humans. We are all in this together. What I continue to realize is that the best way to do that is to remain a place of comfort and refuge from the storm, may it be literal or metaphorical.

We strive to be there every day of the week to provide a warm, welcoming, kind and healing environment that can offer a retreat from the daily deluge of information overwhelm.

That was, and has always has been my mission: to create a safe and comfortable place where people can come to relax, rest, and heal while communing with other like minded wellness seekers. cityWell has been doing this for our community for more than 10 years.

This is how I provide a place for humanity to take center stage and give support during this time and so many others over the years. We will be open on January 30th to continue to provide our services and comfort. A portion of all sales will be donated on this day to a cause supporting democracy and human rights.

May we find ways to be kind in how we interact with others. Caring and kindness are powerful forces. Taking action in both small and large ways, will and DO make an impact. To combat fear and hate, we meet it with warmth and kindness, acceptance and grace.

This last year, was one to remember: parties were hosted, milestones and friends were made, and thanks to my incredible team, I was able to spend 3 weeks in Paris.
But it started with the passing of my beloved kitty Sal, one year ago, today. Her loss was something that was harder to deal with than I could have imagined. However, it allowed me to have a deeper understanding of grief and loss, experiences so central to life and living, and a small reminder of the events that connect so many of us.

I navigated those painful feelings with the use of the sauna, cold plunge and soaking tub. cityWell became not only a place to work but a healing space for me, a refuge for my body and mind to shift and heal.

It reminded me of what was the driving force behind cityWell: to create a place for people to care for their bodies and minds, to take a break from the pressures of life and city living, and to be able to rest and restore.

After each hydro circuit I felt a tiny bit lighter, more hopeful. And when those moments were accompanied by the warmth and kindness of others, those shared experiences: the losses, hurts, sadness, became transformed into a sense not just of healing but of community.

Those experiences were central to my dream I sought out to create more than 18 years ago. That idea became a vision, and the vision became a reality. And it was the honor of my life to have celebrated with so many of my friends, family and clients on 11/11/25 after 10 years in business.

This place has provided a haven for many as well as for me. It continues to be a constant reminder of how lucky I am to have clients who are kind and thoughtful as well as a talented team. All of these things make up the magic that is cityWell.

Wishing you all a wonderful, healing, supportive and adventure filled 2026. May you to be kind to yourself while finding time to move yourself a little closer to your dreams.

We look forward to being there for you this coming year and for years to come. Happy new year!
