NBC News video update about Bindi's release! We are so happy that we were able to work together with Sean Casey Animal Rescue and Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group to save her life and give her a second chance!

The puppy that was found abandoned with its paws frozen to the ground in a New York City park left an animal hospital Thursday, less than a week after it was discovered near death chained to a tree. News 4's Marc Santia reports.

Bindi Update

Bindi Update!!! Many of you have been following the story of Bindi who was found in Prospect Park with her feet frozen to the ground. Aside from being left out in the cold it turns out Bindi is also very sick. she vomited some pieces of rubber when she arrived and had a lot of blood in her urine. She was severely anemic and X-Rays showed she has three pieces of metal in her stomach. After her initial diagnostics at Pet Haven Animal Hospital we transferred her to a 24 hour emergency clinic for round the clock care. When Bindi arrived at Verg she was given a blood transfusion and more X-rays. This morning she received a second transfusion and will be going under anesthesia for endoscopy in an attempt to remove the metal from her stomach. Please keep Bindi in your thoughts in prayers and we will keep you updated on her progress. If you would like to help Bindi and others like her Please consider a donation to SCARs critical care program. Donations can be made on our website www.nyanimalrescue.org or directly to our Vet at 718 435 6900.
