Office Assistant is responsible for entering new referrals and updating patient information including demographics, insurance, and benefits for Medicare; Managed Care and Commercial Plans.
The Office Assistant position will also include communication with Doctor's offices, patients, and insurance companies.
Responsibilities will include:
Acquiring authorization through various insurance
Answering telephones promptly and courteously
Billing insurance companies and handling claims
Responding to e-mails and voicemails
Selecting the appropriate equipment and completing work orders/delivery tickets
Providing quality service and accurate billing
Responsible for accurate ICD 10 coding; HCPC's, and medical terminology
REQUIRED SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Strong customer service skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology/billing and coding
Written and verbal communication skills
Critical thinking, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
You must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
You must have reliable transportation
Knowledge of intergra que system is a plus
Salary is negotiable .
