Dr. Ilana Zablozki-Amir is a physician that uses Functional Medicine principles to help people identify the best, most natural ways of optimizing their health. If you are someone who:
.. has been struggling to make sense of the plethora of health information (often contradictory) that you’ve been told or read about ... is frustrated that your symptoms are being dismissed as “in your head” or “due to aging”... doesn't want to be dependent on medications and want to explore other more natural, effective and safer options that address the root of the problem ... wants to do more to protect your health rather than just “watch and wait” until things get worse... Then you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Zablozki will spend a lot of time, gather lots of information, and help make sense of things. Her ‘out of the box’ and 'big picture’ thinking, along with utilizing state of the art laboratory testing and diagnostic tools, help her to often find answers that haven’t come before, and to create very personalized, proactive health protection and rehabilitation plans. Because Dr. Zablozki is committed to helping people accomplish things that help them thrive, her patients end up feeling healthier, more informed, and empowered!

Tuna is a popular and nutritious saltwater fish, but you may worry about its mercury content. This article reviews mercury in tuna and tells you whether it’s safe to eat this fish.

With a big snowstorm expected in parts of the US this weekend, I wanted to share an important reminder to be careful when shoveling--especially if you have heart health concerns. One of the major reasons shoveling snow can lead to a heart attack is that people tend to hold their breath on exertion—such as lifting heavy shovelfuls of snow. Breath holding slams the diaphragm right up into the heart, squeezing it and impeding blood flow. This is known as a "Valsalva maneuver." But that's not the only risk. Do you feel comfortable taking supplements that are stored at temps up to 155 degrees? The phrase, “hot on Amazon” is taking on new and problematic meanings for the dietary supplement industry this spring.
Beginning on April 15, Amazon began requiring supplement companies that sell on the platform to guarantee that their products can withstand temperatures up to 155 F, and still meet label claims for stability and potency.
