In celebration of World Health Day, StartCare was proud to connect with the community last week at the Black Health Connect Mixer NYC. Our team engaged healthcare professionals and community leaders, sharing information about our integrated behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, primary care, and comprehensive support services.

We also introduced our Young Professionals Council to the community, creating new opportunities for emerging leaders to get involved. Events like this help strengthen partnerships and advance health equity across New York City.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Alister Martin and his team to our Central Harlem clinic to discuss how the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and StartCare can partner to improve the lives of our participants.

Dr. Martin’s work to expand access to care and reduce barriers to treatment aligns with StartCare’s mission to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and expand pathways to recovery. We look forward to continued collaboration!

StartCare is grateful to Governor Hochul for her continued partnership and support of our vocational programming! Together, we’re expanding opportunity and strengthening pathways to long-term success for the communities we serve.

Governor Hochul announced awards totaling $42.9 million to fund job training and placement efforts across New York State for individuals impacted by addiction, who are ready to join the workforce.

We pay tribute to our founder, Dr. Beny J. Primm, whose visionary leadership in addiction treatment and public health reform laid the foundation for what is now StartCare.
