This young patient was bothered by hyperpigmentation and extensive sun damage and had previously been told his skin was not eligible for resurfacing treatments. Our consultation focused on the possibilities and limitations of treatment, including risks, expectations, and long term commitment.

After an extended period of using a custom Rx skin preparation, I performed a full face fractional ablative CO2 laser with a meticulous pre and post treatment skincare protocol. These are his results after one treatment, with visible improvement in pigmentation and significant smoothing of texture and surface irregularities. From consultation to final photos, this process took approximately four months. I am very proud of his journey and his understanding that maintenance is essential.

Meet Dawn.

At first glance, her concern wasn’t obvious, but facial evaluation is never about a single, coarse look.

A closer assessment of the brows, forehead, and upper eyelids revealed a moderate amount of thin, crepey skin settling into the eyelid crease, creating hooding and fullness. This often interferes with makeup, fluctuates with facial water retention, and, as most things in facial anatomy, one side is almost always worse.

***7 WEEKS after deep plane face and neck lift, CO2 laser**** 👇

I am truly obsessed with these results. This patient… if words could capture her essence, I would still fall short. Her inner beauty rivals her outer beauty. She wanted to look real, like herself. No major changes. Just a real refresh.

I had the privilege of seeing her photos from her young adulthood, and she was right there, just with the natural changes we all experience over time, especially along the neck and lower face. Her jawline is spectacular, and a deep plane face and neck lift with CO2 laser resurfacing brought her natural contours back to life.

So happy to share these beautiful results with my patient. Younger patients who feel their jawline lacks definition often ask what to do - Fillers or surgery? Necklift or liposuction?

It always comes down to anatomy. For this patient, the right solution was neck and submental liposculpting paired with a customized extended chin implant to define the chin, neck, and jawline.

These results are just 2 (!!) months post-op. My goal is always the same: avoid over-operating while still achieving tangible, beautiful, anatomically appropriate results.

For patients with more complex anatomy or more advanced aging changes, achieving similar definition may require a deep surgical neck lift.

My approach to answering the common question: “What do you think I should have done?”. There is no linear answer to this question. There is not a singular answer (most patients know this when gathering several opinions). There is even no guarantee a patient will have surgery or any treatments after a consultation with me. It takes a cohesive vision to move forward. In this industry - patients have the power of choosing their surgeon, and surgeons have the same discerning compass to choose each case with care, enthusiasm, and confidence.

Love this transformation — an effortless upper and lower eyelid rejuvenation in a young female patient.

This is an early result at just about six weeks after surgery, already showing meaningful improvements in upper eyelid heaviness, lower eyelid bags, and tear-trough hollowing.

I performed my signature tear-trough fat-repositioning lower eyelid blepharoplasty, combined with skin–muscle lifting and a small skin-pinch excision to refine shape, support the lid, and maximize smoothness. We did not proceed with a brow lift for this case — every treatment plan is individualized, discussed in detail, and guided by anatomy.

She is so happy with her result, and I’m grateful she allowed me to share this close-up look at her healing. Stay tuned as the incisions continue to fade (the pink tone is expected at this stage), and as subtle swelling along the upper-lid crease continues to settle.

One of the most rewarding things about seeing patients through their post-operative journey is truly understanding the differences made and registered. But it takes photos, eyes, hands, and curiosity to see it all.

This patient entrusted me with a vision, not just a surgery. She allowed me to share this window of her story with my audience, and I am so grateful for it.

I was almost stunned by the optical changes! That neck length! It was hiding underneath the effects of gravity and time. Her neck is so beautiful. Here, I felt very strongly that we needed to hone in on the details along the jawline. There was a subtle bony depression in the chin/prejowl area that could have disrupted a smooth silhouette, so we added gentle structure and projection to create balance and harmony.
