“It is really interesting how a certain food can often times resemble the organ they support. To illustrate, let me show you some examples.

Kidney Beans look like a kidney and are loaded with magnesium, potassium, and fiber, while they also help regulate blood pressure and support kidney function. Kidney beans are additionally a solid source of plant based protein, antioxidants, and vital minerals, including: zinc, iron, and manganese.

Sweet Potatoes many times can resemble a pancreas; and rightly so because they are high in fiber and complex carbohydrates, aid in blood sugar regulation, and don’t put a lot of stress on the pancreas. In addition, sweet potatoes are a great source of vitamin A, vitamin B6, potassium, amidst many other nutrients.

Carrots resemble the iris of the eyes and are packed with vitamins A, C, E, lutein, and zeaxanthin, all of which are imperative for the health of the eyes, decreasing inflammation, and preventing vision loss.

Some say avocados resemble the uterus, but avocados a great for the entire reproductive system. They are a great source of healthy fats, fiber, folic acid, and aid in the development of the fetal brain. Furthermore, they are a solid source of magnesium, potassium, and vitamins B, C, E, and K.

Walnuts resemble a brain, and the omega 3’s in walnuts boost brain function, lower LDL Cholesterol, promote gut health, and decrease one’s susceptibility to stroke.

Tomatoes are great for the heart because their lycopene content decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease, and protects skin from UV damage. Tomatoes are also an excellent source of potassium, fiber and vitamins A, C, and K.”
