This is a great time to discuss any pain or discomfort you're having while running or while you're going about your day! Dr. Joe Spagnolo from our foot and ankle team will be hosting the clinic from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Riverside Runners ( 2480 Rivermont Avenue in Lynchburg). Finishing up her physical therapy, our Bedford patient is modeling the FOTO belt, an internal award that goes to the physical therapist team with the most patients who have shown significant functional improvement for the quarter. Dr. Chris Shatto (right) and Michelle Tinsley, physical therapist assistant (left), won the belt most recently.

The FOTO belt recognition is based on patient responses that are assessed by Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO), an industry-leading outcomes management system that provides real-time information on treatment effectiveness and efficiency. Trunk or Treat at Business Center on Tuesday evening! We're located at 20347 Timberlake Rd (back parking lot) and we'll be there between 5:30 and 7:00 PM TONIGHT! Involvement in the physical therapy profession is important to Rehab Associates! Recently, our physical therapists participated in the annual member meeting for the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Shown here is Dr. Brian Britt, site director at our Lovingston clinic, as he is speaking to the group's Political Action Committee. Also, Dr. Ben Hodges, site director at our Westlake clinic, is being honored as he leaves his term as western region director. Congratulations to the Rehab Associates Chili Team for winning second place (judges tasting) in the Buzzy Coleman Chili Cookoff! One of 20 teams in Saturday's competition, our group impressed the judges with a Texas-style chili (no beans and just the right amount of heat). Rumor has it that Matthew Rudder's onion cutting skills gave our chili the edge.

Thanks to Dr. Josh Campo (Rustburg), Matthew Rudder, PTA (Appomattox), Dr. Brice Bhalla (Rustburg), and Kevin Cope (retired partner) for their cooking and serving skills. Also, thank you to those not in the picture, but very much involved: Dr. Harrison Hunt (Bedford), Dr. Sidnei Arrowood (Appomattox) and Brittney McCune (Appomattox). Also, check out Dr. Jordan Molstre (Forest Brook) and his son who are "Chili to the Bone" with Rehab Associates!

Matthew was our main cook and Jordan and Brice were our prep cooks. Everybody helped with serving and decorations! A team effort that resulted in a win!

Double the fun! Happy birthday to Dr. Andy Tatom and Gwen Gathers, PTA! Dr. Tatom is a partner and physical therapist at our Clifton clinic. A board certified clinical specialist, he enjoys manual therapy with an emphasis in spine, SI joint, headaches, facial pain and TMJ dysfunction, dry needling and male pelvic health.

Gwen is a physical therapist assistant at our Clifton clinic. She enjoys general orthopedics and using aqua therapy to improve patient outcomes. Gwen always has a smile on her face!

A team that plays together stays together! Our Timberlake team and their families enjoyed a day at the Drumheller's Apple Orchard Fall Festival. Good food, vendors, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, and fun for the kids in the Kid Zone were among the highlights! Apples, apple butter, apple cider, apple cookbooks...all at Drumheller's Orchard!
