A recent article by the Healthcare Innovation Consortium (HIC) featured our partnership with the NHS and described our technology as having “the potential to play a significant role in virtual wards within the NHS, supporting efficient resource allocation and the pivot from traditional medicine to personalized medicine.”
The NHS has been challenged in addressing the myriad of issues faced by dialysis patients in a way that’s both cost-effective and scalable. Per the article, “dialysis patients experience a high disease burden, shortened life expectancy, and diminished quality of life due to various symptoms.” In response to these challenges and as part of the NHS Long Term Plan, the NHS is dedicated to embracing a greater number of digital health solutions, including remote patient monitoring tools like the Alio Platform.
A key tenet of the NHS Long Term Plan is patient-centricity, both in improving their overall experience as well as improving health outcomes. This emphasis on patient-centricity aligns seamlessly with our vision for better chronic care management and is why we are proud to partner with a forward-thinking organization like the NHS.
