Are those strawberries on top of a salmon fillet that you’re seeing? Your eyes aren’t lying, friends. This unlikely combo is a party for your tastebuds. Trust me on this. It’s sweet and savory at the same and a cinch to make. Cinchy recipes are my favorite. Make it yourself and tell me I’m wrong. I dare you.
Strawberry + Balsamic Salmon by .
2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil, plus more for grill.
2 pounds skin-on, Wild-caught salmon fillets.
1tsp. salt.
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar.
2 cups of fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced.
6 fresh basil leaves, chopped.

Heat grill to medium-high heat or heat a large grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush grill or pan with olive oil. .
Brush the salmon fillets with 2 tsp. of olive oil and season with the salt. Place the fillets skin side down and cook, covered, until cooked through, but not dry. About 6 minutes. .
Flip the salmon and cook for 3-5 minutes more, depending on thickness. .
In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat vinegar until slightly syrupy, 10-12 minutes.

Top the grilled salmon with strawberries, basil, and a drizzle of the balsamic reduction and serve.
Enjoy!

Made with kale, spinach, celery, parsley, cucumber, and an apple thrown in to give it just the right amount of sweetness, it’s literal perfection. You can almost feel your cells detoxing and soaking up the glorious nutrients. This juice is aptly named, my friends. 100% .
Seriously, next time you’re at Whole Foods, try this one. Or better yet, make it at home... Your cells will thank you!

Wild and crazy Saturday night over here, y’all! Decided to live ever so dangerously and make some gluten-free pizza with GF crust mix. It sounded delish, and sometimes you just HAVE to pizza. Amirite? 😉
Added fresh mozzarella, garlic, uncured hot soppressata, tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach high on top of pizza sauce. Yep, they make pizza sauce too!
Final verdict? Wooeee, it was good! Like, so good there was no time for an “after” pic, good. Admittedly feeling super gourmand and proud of myself right now. If you’re living GF, do yourself a favor and give this crust a go!

Saw this recipe for Sheet Pan Meatballs and Broccolini pop up on yesterday and knew this one was going to be a winner!
It’s yum. And easy. Almost *too* easy. You know those recipes that seem so simple that they can’t possibly be good? Yep, this is one of those. Plus, it’s totally Whole30 compliant- Perfect for your 🔥.
Preheat oven to 425*

Ingredients:

1 pound of broccolini
2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp of Magic Mushroom Powder (by Nom Nom Paleo and available ) or kosher sea salt
1 1/2 pound Italian bulk sausage (make sure it’s Whole30 compliant)
1 1/2 cups of marinara sauce. I used , natch. 😉

Directions:

1. On rimmed baking sheet, tops broccolini with olive oil and magic mushroom powder or salt.

2. Arrange broccolini in single layer on baking sheet.

3. Grab the sausage and roll out meatballs to 1 1/2 inch diameter. Should make about 24.

4. Tuck meatballs in any open spots between broccolini.

5. Roast the meatballs for a total of 15-20 minutes or until they are cooked through and broccolini is charred in some places. Rotate pan 180 degrees at the halfway mark to ensure even cooking.

6. While meatballs are cooking, tbe marinara sauce on the stove. Once meatballs are finished cooking, spoon on the marinara and serve hot.
See? Easy peasy. As proof, my pic looks almost exactly the same as the original, so that’s HAS to tell you something!

Great quote from one of my favs, .
As a society, we‘ve gotten so far away from eating to nourish our bodies. Instead, we’re so focused the caloric count of what’s going in, or following the latest diet trend, that we often miss out on vital nutrients that our bodies desperately need.
There is no “one size fits all” eating plan. Let that sink in. What works for someone else may not be right for you. The key is finding out what works for YOUR bio-individuality.
Keep it simple: Eat real food. Listen to what your body is saying it needs or doesn’t. Make adjustments. Trust the wisdom contained in every cell of your body. It’s always been there.

In fact, it’s so festive that it just may inspire you to put on Christmas music and start wrapping some of those presents you have hiding in the closet. Just sayin’. 😉

Does an apple a day REALLY keep the doctor away? You bet your socks it does!
Apples are chock-full of antioxidants that keep inflammation at bay, lower cholesterol, inhibit cancer cell proliferation, and contain much needed fiber that our bodies utilize to keep digestion running smoothly. In fact, apples are a top source of the polysaccharide, pectin, which binds cholesterol in the intestines and slows down glucose absorption. Pretty darn powerful for a single piece of fruit, don’t you think? Apples are kind of a big deal, people. No wonder Adam couldn’t resist. 😉
Which kind is your fav? 🍎
