Louisiana Medicaid Plan Changes (2025)

📌 Why is my Medicaid plan changing?

Louisiana Medicaid did not renew its contract with UnitedHealthcare (UHC) and has partially reversed its decision about Aetna Better Health. Some members will stay with Aetna; others will be moved to new plans.

📌 Is UnitedHealthcare (UHC) still a Medicaid plan in Louisiana?

No. UHC will no longer participate as a Louisiana Medicaid plan for the upcoming coverage period.

📌 Is Aetna Better Health staying?

Partially.
Aetna will continue for some members, but not all.
You may still be reassigned to a different plan depending on your eligibility group.

As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, Priority Psychiatric Services would like to express our deep gratitude to our patients, referral partners, and the entire community.
