One of the things I talk about a lot in the studio is this:

Strength isn’t just built during movement… it’s supported through recovery.

When your body is holding tension or feeling tight, it becomes harder to move well, feel energized, and stay consistent.

That’s where bodywork comes in.

Massage helps your body:
• Release tension
• Recover more effectively
• Stay open and supported as you build strength

For areas that feel more “stuck” (like shoulders, hips, or upper back), adding cupping to a session can be really helpful.

A lot of times, it’s not about doing more.

It’s about getting more out of what you’re already doing.

If you’re coming in this month, this is a great time to think about how you want your next session to support you.

And if you’re not sure what your body needs, I’m always happy to help guide you.

✨ Consistency in Action ✨

A big congratulations to Andrea on reaching 50+ visits!

Showing up week after week makes a difference — and she’s proof of that.

Well done, Andrea 🧡

There’s something really special about helping someone reconnect with their body—especially when it’s been a while.

At Anointed Hands, every session is intentional:
• Listening to what your body needs
• Creating a calm, comfortable space
• Making sure you leave feeling better than when you arrived

Whether it’s your first session in a while or part of your regular routine… your body deserves this kind of care 🧡

April always feels like a reset.

The weather shifts, routines change, and a lot of people start feeling ready to move again—but not in an intense or overwhelming way.

This month at the studio, we’re focusing on strength and energy.

Not the kind of strength that leaves you exhausted…

The kind that shows up in your everyday life:
• Standing and walking with better posture
• Feeling less tired during the day
• Moving with more ease and confidence

A lot of people think they need to “go hard” to feel stronger, but that’s usually not what the body needs.

Consistency matters more than intensity.

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into a routine, this is a really good time to start—gently and steadily.

If you’re not sure where to begin, I’m always happy to help guide you.

Self-care isn’t indulgence.
It’s maintenance.

Your nervous system needs support.
Your muscles need circulation.
Your core needs coordination.

Massage calms the body.
Pilates strengthens the body.
Together, they create resilience.

You don’t need to “earn” rest.
You don’t need to be in pain to deserve support.

If you’ve been running on empty, this is your reminder to choose care before burnout.

Mobility affects more than we realize.

It shows up in how easily we get up and down, move through stairs, and feel at the end of the day.

When movement feels easier, daily life feels better.

Massage therapy can support relaxation, circulation, and overall muscle comfort.

Movement-based exercise, such as Pilates, focuses on improving strength, coordination, and body awareness.

While each approach has unique benefits, many people choose to combine both as part of a consistent wellness routine.

Massage may help reduce muscle tension, while Pilates helps develop muscular support and control.

At Anointed Hands Massage & Pilates Studio in Brown Deer, clients often incorporate both services to support long-term movement health in a calm, relationship-centered environment.

A balanced approach to wellness can include both recovery and strengthening practices.

This month’s Pilates focus is hips and spine mobility.

When these areas move better, posture improves, tension decreases, and movement feels smoother overall.

If your body still feels a bit tight, you’re not doing anything wrong.

Mobility improves gradually — with consistency and thoughtful support.

It’s common to assume that stiffness means you need to push harder or stretch more. In many cases, mobility develops through coordinated strength, controlled movement, and giving the body time to adapt.

Progress often feels subtle at first.

You may begin to notice:
• Movements feel smoother
• Transitions feel steadier
• Tension doesn’t build as quickly
• Everyday activities feel more supported

Mobility isn’t about forcing flexibility.
It’s about creating space and stability together.

At Anointed Hands Massage & Pilates Studio in Brown Deer, March is focused on movement with ease — helping the body move more freely while staying supported.
