Who am I.......I’m a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend and a woman......and each of these titles have significantly shaped and molded me into the person I am today. But at the end of the day, I am just a small town girl from Alpena (Northern Michigan)......That wants to feel CONNECTED and part of COMMUNITY where you know everyone, enjoy seeing each other and sharing a hug or smile.
Background and Experience..... I started my journey in fitness at a very young age. I played sports and always was competitive at anything and everything. Playing basketball and softball created an appetite for competing and winning but also opened me eyes to importance of team work, connecting with others and building strong relationships.
After high school, I played a few years of college sports, and pursued a Bachelors in Exercise Science. I worked in the fitness industry for a few years while pursuing MBA in strategic management. I then spent the next 15 years working in the non-profit sector in Detroit focused on advocating for children and families on education issues, increasing awareness and engagement with parents and provide essential programming for disadvantaged children.
Cycle Trip was born.....
In 2016 I made a very important decision, to put me first!
I decided I needed a break from the non-profit industry and the long hours, evenings and weekends. Over the next few years, through adversity and After much REFLECTION , soul searching and prayer.....my eyes were opened . I could see beyond the moment and realized that there was something bigger and better for me and my family.
I fell in love with cycling and noticed there was a huge gap in our community in this specific area. We needed a place that was focused on a high level cycling experience that would also incorporate a full body workout. At this point, I realized it was time to go back to my roots and incorporate health as the next chapter of my life. Something that was second nature for me and would bring me JOY and to so many others.
I want people to walk threw the doors of CycleTrip and have an experience. A place where they can feel good ,connect with others and find THEIR joyride, LET GO and RIDE☺️
