{3:54PM Friday} ***The track for Tropical Storm Beryl continues to shift eastward; however, the Mid and Upper Valley are still in the forecast cone. This is the official forecast track from the National Hurricane Center. As of the 4PM advisory from the NHC, Tropical Storm Beryl had maximum sustained winds of 65 mph and was located about 35 miles east-southeast of Progreso, Mexico. Beryl is forecast to remain a tropical storm as it exits the Yucatan Peninsula and enters the Gulf of Mexico; however, it is forecast to restrengthen to a Category 1 hurricane as it nears the Texas coast. As for the Valley...the Lower Valley and the coast could still see some rain and some wind associated with Beryl starting Sunday, but this highly depends on Beryl's track, which will most likely change again.
