Welcome to this sweet little boy! His parents are a team in all things that they do, and taking care of their son is no exception. During childbirth preparation with this family I could see just how much information this couple wanted to soak up. They were insightful, humorous, and humble during their journey. Traits that served them through pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. We are so pleased to know you and to see your family grow! Thank you for having us.

We knew fairly early on that this sweet pea would be born by a surgical birth. She still managed to keep us on our toes with plan changes and messages from in utero. Her parents were so confident in their journey, and so excited to meet their girl. There was no question that it was love at first sight. This is a family FULL of love. We are so honored to witness it. Please swipe to see the twinkliest baby eyes you ever did see!

Welcome to this magical February girl (yes, I know, I’m behind on posting, but get ready for some cuteness as I catch up)! She brought her family many lessons from conception to postpartum. Witnessing her mother’s strength and vulnerability throughout her pregnancy, labor and birth was humbling and an absolute honor to hold space for. This sweet babe joined us earthside en caul in the beautiful morning hours with her big siblings & grandparents resting and waiting anxiously upstairs. Thank you for choosing us as your midwives. ♥️

Hello all! Mostly we use this account to talk about our wonderful clients and their sweet babies, but today we have news from the midwives. After a lot of thought and heart work I have made the decision to stop attending births for a few years starting in January 2024. My hope with stepping away for a time is to ensure that I can be fully present with my daughter. Once W is in kindergarten my evenings and weekends with her will be so precious, and my mother heart needs me to fiercely protect those sacred times. The years I have with my daughter are life’s most precious gift. Recently loosing my own mother and a dear mother friend has really put that into perspective.

Hannah will be continuing on with midwifery care, but there will be some exciting new developments with her practice that we can’t wait to share with you. Stay tuned.

It isn’t without some heart ache that I step away. Midwifery is a calling, and witnessing people birth their babies is such an honor and joy. I will not be able to stay away forever. While I am taking this time to be with my family I hope to also keep up with clients by offering preconception care, well body care, and childbirth preparation. I hope that you will continue to share your journeys with me too. I love the pictures of growing babies and children. I love hearing about new milestones. I love the surprising text message photos of positive pregnancy tests. I will be here rooting you on, and feeling the ache in my heart of sitting out your birth. But, as I tell our clients at our 3 month postpartum visit, “We’re your midwives for life.”

Welcome to this Early Bird who decided April was too long a wait to see her wonderful parents and opted to be born in February instead. Not only that, but she was in a rush. She came blazing into this world in under an hour. What a force of nature 💖! She has a special place in my heart since she’s also my NIECE. I am so proud of her and my sister for the growing and loving they’ve done since their birth. Seeing their family home after a long NICU stay is a balm to the heart. Being a midwife is full of adventure, but so is being a sister. So much love to you sweet family!

This announcement is coming months after this baby girl’s birth. I think I’ve been in denial about this family being in their postpartum (and in fact they just had their final postpartum visit 😭). We had the pleasure of catching this baby’s big sister two years ago, and then to get to hang out again this past year has been such a joy. We love our repeat clients. We really enjoy our time getting to know big siblings, seeing babies we’ve caught turn into toddlers, and witnessing the strength and love of parents as they birth again. This mom had to work in new ways to birth her third daughter who decided to be born with sunny side up. Three girls, and each has their own pace and style. They are so lucky to be blessed with parents who are there for it all. 🐆 🐕 🍳 And we are the luckiest midwives to get to be by their side during it all. ♥️

We always get clients’ permission before posting any pictures of them or their babies on social media. This wonderful family is keeping their faces off social media, but suggested sharing a photo of their beautiful velamentous cord insertion on their placenta. We didn’t know about this variation in cord insertion before birth, and it never gave us any indication that it bothered baby. I am particularly fond of this placental variation since my daughter had one too. What a miracle it all is!

Welcome to this little boy! He was one of our three 38 weekers, which I think his mommy was pretty happy about. Sometimes the mind body connection is strong enough to make a labor wish come true.

This family is such a strong unit. A fact that came in handy during their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Their family culture, strength, and love have been a wonderful nest for this baby to arrive in. It’s been a wonderful place for us midwives to spend time too. Thank you for having us. ♥️
