Pathways Rehabilitation Services

Pathways Rehabilitation Services A unique mobile driving school operated and run by an Occupational Therapist and Certified Driving Instructor, Heather Shields.

Heather offers a unique service because all of the driving assessments and driving trainings are conducted at people's homes and on the roads where they actually drive. The concept is "driving rehabilitation" because it is focused on people who already know how to drive, but have a medical condition that affects them physically or cognitively and may affect their ability to drive safely. Heather can determine people's abilities and potential and can even teach people to drive with adaptive equipment. She has several types of driving adaptive equipment that people can try out and learn to use before getting it installed in their own vehicles. Many people simply need practice so they can get back to driving following a medical condition.

I want to share the most heartfelt testimonial from Jeff Kelley. I helped him regain his independence after he had to have his right leg amputated below the knee. He wanted to make a testimonial video to share his experience. I told him to just speak from his heart. I hope this inspires you. Please share it so that other people with leg amputations may find hope and learn that driving is totally possible. ❤️
