Laura’s therapist told her to turn TOWARD the anxiety. �
And Laura's first thought?
She said, "I looked at her like she had 12 heads."
Same, Laura. I’ve had similar moments when I did the exact same.
But here's what happened when she actually tried it.
She sat down, set a 5-minute timer, and just... let the anxiety come.
The tight stomach. The tension. All of it set in.
And instead of the anxiety growing? It left.
Because anxiety that gets acknowledged doesn't
have to fight for your attention anymore.
It releases. It breathes. And then it goes.
Laura said it in a way I will never forget:
"I could let it breathe and let it literally leave my body."
