Today, we’re especially thankful for our incredible team and the compassion they bring to our community each and every day. This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for the moments of connection, comfort, and care that remind us why our work matters. We’re also thankful for the moments we share together as a team, finding time to connect and support one another during a busy season.

Today’s Thanksgiving lunch was a wonderful reminder of how thankful we are for our incredible staff and the care they provide every day. We’re grateful to our Auxiliary of Hospice of the Golden Isles for providing the traditional staples that allowed our team to gather together around the table with all the favorites.

🇺🇸 Honored to Serve Those Who Served 🇺🇸

Hospice of the Golden Isles was proud to provide lunch for our community following the Veterans Day ceremony on St. Simons Island this Tuesday. It was an honor to serve and share in a day of gratitude for the brave men and women who have served our country. A special thank you to United Community Bank, Beachview Event Rental and Southern Soul for sponsoring the event.

St. Simons Island Veterans Day Events

Join us as we honor those who have served our country this Veterans Day on St. Simons Island!

📅 Monday, November 11
📍 Mallory Park & Neptune Park

🎖️ Parade: Begins at 10:15 a.m. at Mallory Park and proceeds down Mallory Street, ending at Neptune Park.

🎤 Ceremony: The annual Veterans Day ceremony will start at 11:00 a.m. at the Neptune Park bandstand.

⭐ Honored Speaker: Retired Four-Star General Robert Magnus, 30th Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps.

🍽️ Lunch: After the ceremony, join us for a free lunch for veterans provided by Hospice of the Golden Isles and Southern Soul Barbecue at the casino. Non-veterans are welcome to enjoy lunch for just $5.

Let’s come together to celebrate and thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

Our Hospice of the Golden Isles team was proud to take part in yesterday’s Golden Isles Alzheimer’s Walk! 💜
It was a beautiful day to come together in support of those affected by Alzheimer’s and to honor the patients, families, and loved ones we serve every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us and walked for awareness, hope, and a world without Alzheimer’s.

Because of you, our faithful supporters, we exceeded our St Marys Methodist Church Foundation matching grant goal of $150,000 in under four months!!

The matching funds will bring the total to $300,000 and will represent nearly 1000days of Uncompensated Patient Room and Board care for some of the most vulnerable members of our community.

At Hospice of the Golden Isles, we are proud to care for all hospice eligible patients regardless of ability to pay.
