💙 “When I arrived at Willowood Care Center I was virtually helpless. It was 48 hours after major surgery on my left knee after a fall that broke my kneecap in half. I could not lift it, get out of bed, go to the bathroom, shower, or dress myself. I was not allowed to put weight on the leg or bend the knee, and I could not return home since I live alone.
All the nurses and aides were so good to me. It was clear they truly care about their patients.
Even with my limitations, I began physical and occupational therapy right away. Wendy in occupational therapy helped me learn how to care for myself safely, and Steve in physical therapy helped me regain strength in my leg. Over time, I progressed from limited movement to bending my knee, regaining strength, and eventually walking with a cane.
The work was hard, but I trusted my therapy team. Their knowledge and compassion made all the difference. Because of them, I am now able to return home.
Every staff member at Willowood has been professional, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. I chose Willowood because of the excellent care my mother received here years ago, and it still holds a special place in my heart.
If I had to rate it, it would be a 5 for sure.”
