🎶💖 A Dream Come True at Plum Creek! 💖🎶

Our very own Linda Samosky has been leading our Singing Angels Choir here at Plum Creek Assisted Living for many years. One of her biggest dreams has always been for the choir to sing “God Bless America” for Fox 8 News — and when she found out they were coming to film The Pledge of Allegiance, she was absolutely over the moon! 🇺🇸✨

We just had to make this special moment happen for her — and it was truly unforgettable. 🥹💫

🇺🇸 Plum Creek Assisted Living, located in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, is proud to be Veteran owned and operated. When given the honor of leading the Pledge of Allegiance for Fox 8 News, the Plum Creek team and residents came together to make it a truly special morning dedicated to honoring Veterans.

Dressed in red, white, and blue, the Veterans gathered alongside owner Dan Ihrig, LNHA (a military Veteran), and care team member Marc Davis (also a Veteran) to salute and recite the pledge. They were joined by residents, members of the Plum Creek care and leadership teams, and special guests from the Northern Medina County Chamber of Commerce — Executive Director Debbie Boehmke and Executive Assistant Heidi DeBolt.

The celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of Veterans from the American Legion and VFW, who joined in the ceremony. Under the direction of Linda Samsoky, the group proudly sang God Bless America, and the morning concluded with a moving trumpet performance as the Legion and VFW members marched behind the Plum Creek Veterans — a powerful moment of unity, pride, and gratitude. 🇺🇸❤️💙

A huge thank you to the HANDS Foundation for this amazing ad, and to John Wasylko from Channel 22 The Beat for capturing all these incredible photos for us! This article will be featured in the upcoming issue of the Helping HANDs paper (hitting mailboxes next week) which we’ve proudly supported since opening in 2009.

🌿 Nurturing Spiritual Health at Plum Creek 🌿

One of the most important — yet often overlooked — aspects of overall wellness is spiritual health. For many of our residents, faith and fellowship have always been central parts of their lives. As we get older, however, attending church can become difficult — whether it’s due to health concerns, mobility, or simply the challenge of getting out and about.

That’s why our chapel at Plum Creek is such a special place. 💒 Thanks to our wonderful partnerships with local churches like Grace Baptist and St. Ambrose, we’re able to bring worship and community right here to our residents! From non-denominational services to Bible studies and quiet moments of reflection, our chapel provides a peaceful space for all.

It’s not unusual to walk by and see a resident sitting in serenity, enjoying a few moments of calm. 💖 Spiritual care is truly part of the heart of Plum Creek.
