Optician/Optometric Assistant
Brunswick Family Vision Center, also known as The Public Spectacle, is an independently owned eyecare center located in Brunswick, Maryland. We are looking for a motivated and reliable optician/optometric assistant. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and friendly, is willing to learn, and interacts well with people of all ages. Training will be provided as necessary. Responsibilities ultimately include optical sales, verification and quality control, adjustments, repairs, and ordering eyeglasses, as well as assisting with insurance verification, vision insurance claims submissions, scheduling, reminders, pretesting and history taking, and training patients in the care and handling of contact lenses. We strive for a culture of collaboration, communication, and respect. Shop hours are 10-5 Mondays and Fridays, optical only. We see patients 10-7 on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 9-1 on Saturdays. Salary commensurate with experience and commitment to team growth.
Required education:
High school or equivalent
