Update On - Dean David And Life Of A Transplant Mom
Dean David is starting to have more hard days with his heart failure. Today, we were in the playroom and he just wasn’t himself; he laid on the floor and wanted to go to sleep. Dean David had a headache, his stomach hurt, and he was very tired. So, I got him up and brought him back to the room; he then had diarrhea, so I got him cleaned up and in bed. The nurse gave him Tylenol, and he took a nap for hours he is also is refusing to eat.
Dean David had a recent heart cath due to an issue and then afterward developed a full-body rash due to a medication. However, they are not sure which one, as he had many medications that day. They said they were all medications he had before with no trouble. We’re praying it will be the one they just started to help his heart; they did stop this medication when the rash got really bad, but they are talking about restarting it because of Dean David’s condition. They’re not sure when they will do this yet, as they want to give him plenty of time to recover from the rash. However, with Dean David’s tiredness, constant headaches, and heart rhythm changes, it will be soon. He will need to go into the ICU to be monitored when they restart this medication.
Dean David was on the same medication in the beginning of his life to keep his heart alive until his first heart transplant.
This medication will run 24 hours a day until he gets a heart transplant to help keep his heart alive.
I’ll continue to update you guys!
