What kind of eye doctor doesn’t sell glasses?

🙋🏽‍♀️ Believe it or not, Renewal breaks the traditional optometric model by not selling glasses at the office. Why?

1) Our goal is to compliment rather than compete with the existing optometric community of NW Ohio. Virtually every other practice in the area has an in-office optical that sells quality lenses. We are happy to support local businesses by encouraging you to shop with them!

2) At Renewal, we refuse to push products for profit.

Concerned about what this looks like? Don’t worry! We still:
•complete a refraction during the exam
•provide a copy of your glasses prescription at the end of each comprehensive exam
•make lens recommendations based on your prescription and ocular needs
•adjust and fix glasses as needed

1) How is a cash-based practice different than a traditional practice?
•The simplest answer is: we don’t accept/bill insurance.

2) If I have insurance, can I still come to Renewal?
•ABSOLUTELY. We essentially function as an out-of-network provider. At your request, we’ll happily provide any information necessary for you to submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Any reimbursement that you receive will go directly to you.

3) Do you literally only accept cash?
•Nope! We accept cash, check, and card (including HSA/FSA options).
