Manufacturing environments are built on teamwork — and safety depends on looking out for one another, on and off the floor.

Long shifts, physical demands, and high-pressure schedules can take a real toll on mental well-being — and mental health belongs in everyday safety conversations. Through our partnership with The Hartford NAMI developed Toolbox Talks for Manufacturing — short, practical guides designed to help employers and crews integrate mental health into existing safety practices.

These resources reflect our shared commitment to creating safer, healthier workplaces by equipping teams with tools to recognize challenges, support one another, and respond during moments that matter.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

His words remind us that courage is revealed not in comfort, but in moments of challenge—when standing up for justice, dignity, and humanity matters most.

At NAMI, we carry that call forward by advocating for mental health care, equity, and compassion for all. 🕊️

💙 With Heavy Hearts💙

We mourn the passing of Jerry and Nancy Winn, two extraordinary individuals whose impact on our community — and the mental health world — will be felt for generations.

Their compassion, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to mental health changed lives. Through their service and support, countless individuals and families found hope, understanding, and a voice when they needed it most.

NAMI Brazos Valley has lost true champions and tireless advocates, and our community has lost two people who genuinely cared, showed up, and made a difference.

We extend our deepest condolences to their family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by Jerry and Nancy. Their legacy will continue to live on through the work they inspired and the lives they helped transform.
