Did you know? Direct Primary Care (DPC) is NOW formally recognized as a qualified medical expense under federal law. In practical terms, this means patients are now able to use HSA funds to pay for their monthly DPC memberships, just as they would for any other direct healthcare service.

Patients can use HSA dollars for up to $150 per month for individuals or $300 per month for families!

Happy New Year from Jill and Dr. Rice!!

2025 was a year of changes for our practice…the biggest of which was moving our office onto the campus of The Madewell House. We are so grateful for our cozy office space that brings peace and healing to our patients.

RECALL!! If you are using any formula from the company By Heart, discontinue it immediately due to a risk for botulism. You also need to wash all bottles and anything that the formula has touched in hot water or the dishwasher. Contact our office with any questions.

Great advice!

Did you know that thick or puffy coats can create dangerous slack in a car seat harness? 😬

Here’s a simple 3-step test to make sure your child’s coat is car seat safe:
1️⃣ Buckle your child in with their coat on and adjust until the harness passes the pinch test.
2️⃣ Without loosening the straps, take your child out and remove the coat.
3️⃣ Buckle them back in.

👉 If the harness is now too loose, that coat is not car seat safe and should be removed before every ride.

Keep your child warm and safe by layering thin, snug clothing or using a blanket over the harness instead!
