Members of The Non-Profit Hospice Alliance (TNPHA) had the opportunity to be at the State Capitol advocating for greater accountability in health care, specifically addressing fraud and misuse of taxpayer dollars as it relates to hospice care.

We are incredibly proud of our President and CEO, Lisa McNair, for representing Hospice Brazos Valley so well, sharing meaningful data and insight on hospice fraud, specifically the significant increase (98.5%) in hospice licenses since 2020.

She testified before the Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee on Protecting Taxpayer Funds and Preventing Fraud and Abuse, led by Senator Lois Kolkhorst. Her presence on the panel helped highlight the importance of protecting both patients and the integrity of hospice care.

As a nonprofit hospice, Hospice Brazos Valley remains deeply committed to doing what’s right—providing compassionate, high-quality care while advocating for the communities we are honored to serve.

This distinction reflects excellence in patient and caregiver experience, timely initiation of care, expert symptom management, and a deep commitment to evidence-based practice.
