Our Story

Raymond Jean, MD is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Originally from the Rhode Island area, Dr. Jean’s interest in medicine stems from his work in high school and college as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and EMT instructor. The ability to help people has always been his primary focus and goal. His compassion, advocacy for patients, and caring nature is what makes him stand out from other physicians. Dr. Jean treats each and every patient like family, and goes above and beyond his duties as a physician to ensure that patients get the care that they deserve.

Dr. Jean is the founder and director of Main Line Plastic Surgery. The practice opened in January 2012, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jean specializes in Cosmetic Surgery- specifically breast and body procedures- and minimally invasive face and neck rejuvenation. His other areas of interest include complex reconstructive surgical procedures, craniofacial trauma, and hand surgery. Dr. Jean also sees emergency patients needing a Plastic Surgery consult at Bryn Mawr and Paoli Hospitals.

Previous to becoming board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Jean spent two years working at Berks Plastic Surgery in Reading, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science from Boston University, and his Medical Doctorate from the Boston University School of Medicine. From there he completed his early general surgical training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Jean then moved to Southern California to complete his Plastic Surgery residency, where he served as Chief Resident of the Plastic Surgery from 2008-2010.

Dr. Jean was selected as a 2017, 2018 and 2019 Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine. He has also been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor from 2017-2019; Readers Choice Best of the Main Line 2012-2018 by Main Line Suburban Life; Best Plastic Surgeon 2015-2019 in Main Line Today; Best in Patient Satisfaction for 2016, 2017 and 2018 by the American Institute of Plastic Surgeons; Real Self most loved injector for Botox and facial fillers in 2017, and a Real Self Top Doctor in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
