The front door of the hospital never closes. Almost two years into the pandemic, the one constant has been the hospital emergency room. But with COVID cases on the rise, demands on our ERs have no end in sight. All while managing the 24/7 emergencies like traumas, heart attacks and stroke that don’t stop. Main Line Health offers tips on what you can do to keep yourself safe and out of the ER.
✔️ If you are experiencing mild COVID-19 symptoms, it’s best to stay home and stay safe. Hospital emergency rooms are not testing sites.
✔️ If your symptoms worsen, contact your health care provider immediately.
✔️ If you are experiencing a medical emergency like a stroke or a heart attack, call 911 and seek care immediately.
