Big news for women’s health! 📣 The FDA is removing its black box warning on hormone therapy for menopause – recognizing it as a safe and effective option for many women.

💭 For years, leading authorities like The Menopause Society and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists have supported the use of hormone therapy when prescribed appropriately.

🎃💗 October was a busy month at Main Line Women's Healthcare! Our team proudly wore our “Check Your Pumpkins for Lumpkins” t-shirts and joined the PA Breast Cancer Coalition’s Walk Fore the Cure at Blue Bell Country Club. Leading the way was our incredible Lead Physician, Dr. Lisa Leone, a breast cancer survivor and true inspiration! 🏃‍♀️💖

Axia Women’s Health providers along with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine continue to support the judicious use of acetaminophen in pregnancy when needed.

Acetaminophen remains safe to use when taken as directed for pain or fever during pregnancy. The most rigorous studies show no causal link between acetaminophen use and autism.

As with any medication, it’s best to use the lowest effective dose for the shortest amount of time and to consult with your Axia Women’s Health provider before taking any new medication. For more information, please view ACOG's FAQ: https://www.acog.org/clinical-information/physician-faqs/acetaminophen-in-pregnancy
