We are thrilled to announce Swain Summits, a county-wide wellness initiative, will be continuing for 2022/2023 and enrollment has begun. Swain Summits is open to Swain County residents aged 18 years or older and those who work full-time in Swain County. Stop by the Swain County Health Department (SCHD) to register and complete your free health screening, including a free wellness panel (blood draw) and A1C (blood draw for Diabetes screening); an eight-hour fast is recommended for best results. Registration is available on April 12th, 14th, 18th, and 19th; 8 am -11:30 am and 1 pm - 4:00 pm. No appointment is required. The program is FREE. In light of the stress that is plaguing is all through uncertain times, we think it is appropriate to share our stress management challenge for this month. We encourage you to get as many bingos as possible this month, and when you get your first bingo, post it on social media and tag us in your positive post!

This challenge is available to anyone and everyone in our community. We are here to help and support each of you in the best way possible.

In keeping with Governor Cooper's decree about public safety, we are going to be postponing the Swain Summits mid-health screening and open enrollment dates this week.

Tuesday, March 17th and Wednesday, March 18th, we will NOT be having health screenings for Swain Summits. Please be on the lookout for our new dates after we are far removed from COVID-19. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!!
