5 things to look for in a CBD Oil ๐ฑ:
If you took CBD and it didnโt work for you, it didnโt have the following. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
VERY important, just as anything else you put in your body, check the ingredients!

1) Where was the H**p grown? โ๏ธ
- H**p is a bioaccumulator, meaning it is able to absorb both good and bad from the air, water, and soil. Thatโs why itโs important to know that the h**p is grown organically and can be tracked back to itโs US source.
Key Factors:
- Organically Grown
- Grown in the US
- Transparent Seller
2) Does the company provide lab analysis? โ๏ธ
With the Cannabis industry being highly unregulated, companies can label their products however they want to. A lot of companies do not have the time, financial means, or resources to provide 3rd party testing. So, look for a company that can provide that documentation.
What do these lab reports test for:
- Heavy metal content - lead, arsenic, mercury.
- Pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, mold.
- Microbes (living organisms).
- Chemical solvents - PEGs (Polythlene Glycol), Propylene Glycol (PF). Stay away from these because they break down into carcinogenic aldehyde such as formaldehyde.
- Cannibinoids (CBD, THC) potency and purity levels.
3) Is the company certified? โ๏ธ
One main certificate to look for is the GMP Certificate. This is issued by the HSA (Health Science Authority). HSA comes goes to the companyโs manufacturing facilities, labs, and audits the company. Once the audit is complete, HSA gives this certificate to companies that practice Good Manufacturing Procedures.
Another seal, coming soon, will be the U.S. H**p Roundtable seal of approval. This organization will be regulating the quality of CBD oil.
4) How is the oil extracted? โ๏ธ
The industry standard for extraction method is CO2 (carbon dioxide). CO2 extraction is very expensive and requires a trained chemist. So, a lot of companies donโt have the resources for this extraction method. CO2 extraction preserves most cannabinoids and yields the highest quality and purity of oils.
Unsafe extraction methods use harmful solvents such as propane, hexane, pentane, and butane. These solvents leave unsafe residue that can effect immune functions and impede healing. Another reason 3rd party testing is important.
5) Does the company use whole plant extracts from high resin h**p? โ๏ธ
A oil that comes from a full plant extract is going to be richer in cannabinoids and terpenes. The flower has the most resin containing cannabinoids, unlike the stem and h**p seed, containing very little cannabinoids.
You should be able to contact the company very easily and find a straight forward answer, if the whole plant is used or just aerial parts.
Most high resin h**p is grown domestically in the US. So, if a company gets their h**p shipped from overseas (bc their soil isn't tested), it is highly unlikely their oils contain the highest purity levels of CBD.
